Banking Hours Reversed to Normal Timing From Sunday

Bangladesh Bank has instructed the banks to shift  back to normal business hours from 10am to 4pm from Sunday following two months of exchanges for constrained hours due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

The banks in moderate-and high-risk zones will continue conducting transactions for restricted hours – from 10am to 2:30pm, the central bank said in a order on Thursday.

Direction on social distancing and other health safety rules will continue as previous. The banks should report endeavors to ensure the rules.

Bangladesh Bank said vulnerable individuals, sick staffers  and pregnant ladies must not go to the banks.

The banks need to transport office staffs if necessary as certain restrictions on transport services will remain after resumption of open travel on May 31.

The branches and booths in seaport, landport and air terminal zones will stay open 24 hours by coordinating with port and customs authorities.
